Welp, first off.. sorry for being rather MIA this past little while but it’s been a busy few weeks!
Today is my final day in Ottawa – can you believe that I am moving to BC TOMORROW?! Absolutely crazy how fast time has gone by, and to be perfectly honest it feels a little surreal.
Before I get to the sad bit of this post, let’s recap my favourite holiday – CHRISTMAS!
This year, while the fam jam was home in BC, I spent Christmas in Ottawa with Alex and Jess and their family. It was such a wonderful time
Work was also cray over the holidays..check out these lines!
So thank goodness for great holiday tunes…
…and cake pops made by a Lulu love

It’s been snowing like MAD over the holidays as well, check this out!
You can barely see parliament it’s so snowy out!
So parka’s and beavertails have been saving my life lately.
Post Greco on a VERY snowy morning..
I also came down with a cold about 2 days ago. Let me tell ya, a cold & packing & working & sorting life out before the big move is NOT ideal. So naturally, I have been pumping myself full of vitamins an all sorts of other goodies..
Such as wheatgrass shots.
..and carrot, apple, ginger, lemon, echinacea, and orange juice.

As you know, I already said “see you later” to Jess and Fabe, but yesterday I had to say see you later to all of my favourites at Lululemon
I will honestly miss everyone there so much. Although I’ve only been there for a relatively short time, I feel as though I’ve known them forever, and they almost feel like family. Ugh, it was not a good day yesterday. So incredibly bittersweet.
Danielle and Michelle left me a lovely and hilarious card
And this morning I said another really hard “see you later” to Nadz. In true Nadz and Britta tradition, we went to our favourite spot: Murray Street Kitchen!
Look at the size of our delicious sandwiches! HUGE.
ugh, man.. I’m going to miss her so so so much. All of our breakfast, lunch, and dinner dates always made me so happy and I have absolutely no idea who will make me laugh as much as Nadz did when I get to BC
I know we’ll see each other soon though.. plane rides, Skype dates, phone calls, and text messages will not fall short for the next little while.
I’ll never forget our amazing Thanksgiving dinner this year..
Our many brunch dates at Murray Street Kitchen
..and our many many other memories
Gah, Miss her so much already.. its brutal!
So, I guess now it’s onto Ottawa. Ottawa has really shaped who I am. I have so many memories here, I went to university here, made life-long friends here, but most importantly.. I really learned to become independent and “grew up” in this gorgeous city. It will always have a special place in my heart, and I will always call it home in a way. So thank you Ottawa, I’ll miss you more than you know!

Wow- it’s been a crazy month for you with all the goodbyes and changes happening. Hope you feel better and that it’s a smooth move back to BC!
Thank you!! Just got to Victoria and I am already feeling so much better!
Is it weird that I feel sad with you?? I HATE leaving a job I like and the feeling of missing coworkers is crazy!! Missing close friends is even worse!! I hope you settle into BC REAL quick and I can’t wait for out foodie date in the future!
