I made it!!
I cannot even begin to tell you how content I feel being back in BC
Mind you, the trek was long and my new years was spent sleeping. Yes, I was in bed by 930..oops? In my defence – on the 31st I was travelling back to BC which meant I was awake for 24hrs and I had a cold.. so I was one exhausted little bean. No biggy though, I didn’t mind.. obviously.
Since I have been back, I have been going for runs (finally!), settling into mine and Max’s new place (yes, I live with my brother – we’re real close!), and seeing friends that I haven’t in quite some time.
So happy to be reunited with my big brother
I’m sleepy here.. believe this was around 22hrs of being awake.
We went for sushi for my first meal back in BC…had to, right?!
While I was getting ready for bed on New Years Eve.. Christiana, Kate, Max, and Ty were going to a neon inspired party. Yes, those are pixie sticks on Max’s shirt.. how original.
On January 1st we all trekked to Cup of Joe’s for breaky! I had never been there, but Max, Kate, and Ty were raving about it, so naturally, I had to go. IT WAS DELICIOUS. And they had some pretty neat things on the wall as well
After breaky, we went for a leisurely walk by the water.. yes, folks.. I live here
The following day I went for a run.. first run in BC. I live really close to the water which makes running a little easier (hello motivation) so I ran about 5km.. nothing crazy, but check out these morning views!
…and later Max and I strolled to UVic to pick up books for the semester. Look at this hipster.
After class today… bought a hat and had to represent, right?
AND THEN MIKE CAME TO VISIT! Mike is one of my best friends, and because I have been away in Ottawa I haven’t seen him since the summer of 2011! How crazy is that! Gosh, I missed this kid.
Today Mike and I walked to Beacon Hill Park and just enjoyed the day!
Shared a muffin and grabbed some warm beverages at Moka House…

Hope you all have a great weekend! I am off to meet Amy to watch the UVic hockey team play SFU – how very “university student” of us

You are your brosef are adorable. I am so jazzed you made it and are settling right back in!! Yay for runs, old friends, and good coffee!
haha yeah, we try.. NOT. I can’t believe I stayed away from the west coast for so long, you guys have it good (especially the warmer temperatures!).
Welcome to the west coast! Grey skies and good coffee are ready for ya!
Thank you!! So happy to be here!
I’m even loving all the rain!
