That’s the truth. Endorphins definitely work on me. After a great run, I cannot help but smile, I am super cheery, and I seriously feel like a million bucks!
Anywho, here’s all about my weekend. I’ll keep it picture filled with not so many words… I’m a little sleepy. It happens.
First off, look at this sunrise. Simply Incredible. I didn’t edit this one bit. This happened on Thursday morning while Max and I were out for an 8km run around our neighbourhood! Can you spot the boat in the back there?
I’ve been loving freshly pressed juices. I’m gonna go ahead and blame Hungry for Change.

Oh, and coffee never fails to make it into my daily life. That’s what happens when you live across the street from a Discovery Coffee.
Max has continued to be a champ and has been joining Amy and I for our shorter runs. Way to go big brother!
Highlight of our Saturday run: stopping at Caffe Fantastico :)
Max and I also found the equivalent of one of my favourite Italian shops in Ottawa, La Bottega, in Victoria. I give you… Ottavio! Best part? It’s a 5min walk from my house.
Happy Camper.
Last night Max and I went to Ty’s (like my second brother, Max’s bestfreind) to watch the Canucks lose
Our friend, Luke, is in New Zealand right now so we skyped with him during the game so he could watch it as well! We’re fancy like that.
Today Max and I met up with Dani and Kendyl (great old friends that I have missed!!!) at Willie’s Bakery for brunch. Then we all met up with Ty and hiked up Mount Doug. I’ve been doing this at least once a week, take pictures, and every week I am amazed at how gorgeous the view is.
And finally, after the hike, I met up with Amy for our long run! We were planning on only running 14km, but then before we knew it we ran 15km! The first half of the run was a little rough, but the second half was brilliant for the both of us! Finished with a time of 1:32:57 – not too shabby. Ahh, those endorphins are wonderful things I tell ya!
I mean, when your route looks like this running 15km gets a little easier as well
I’m not going to lie. I don’t know how smart it was to do a hike and a 15km run today. I am pretty tired now, so maybe I’ll re-think that next weekend, but it sure feels great to do so much in one day
Leave you with a good one. This played as I was driving home after my run. I turned into a big loser and somehow couldn’t stop smiling. Oops
Endorphins do crazy things to you.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Holy eff! I wanna go to Discovery ASAP…. And Otavio! Decaf after our dinner date? Lol
yes yes yes!!! Of course
I want to live with you!! Your adventures with running, coffee shops, hiking, and foodie restaurants are always amazing!!!! SO FUN!! Awesome job on the run, the hike, all of it!! I LOVE endorphins soo very much, it’s my crack.
I am SO on board with you moving in!! haha Definitely come for a visit
you would love the running trails here… and ermm.. everything else. Except for Rebar brownies, unless Amy and I make them
It looks like you are settling in perfectly!! SO happy to see you are having such a good time!
Thanks! I’m gonna go ahead and blame the warmer weather too!
LOVE your photos, yes, I’d be able to keep running for days with views like that!
I love that your post is more about food than running. It’s time a running blog kept their prioties straight!!
I know, I sometimes can’t believe the views myself.. I am definitely appreciating everything this city has to offer!!
What an amazing sunrise!
