OH HEY!
It’s been a week since I have posted. Normally, I do it a little more often, but I haven’t had that much to share so I figured it was best not to really bother
Let’s get caught up here.
So, Max and I got back from Nelson on Sunday night.
Before we left Nelson on Sunday morning we had some eggs. How adorable is this? My mom gets these eggs locally, and in each carton of eggs there is one “kissed” egg. LOVE.
I DIE.
Bright and early Monday morning I met Amy for our 20km long run. It was a good one and we are at the point where 20km doesn’t feel or sound that long, yeah baby!
It was SUPER windy/rainy on Monday though. Not gonna lie, during some points of the run I got really angry with the wind because it was so crazy. I sound a little nuts, “I got angry with the wind” but it was so annoying and made 20km feel just a tad longer than it is supposed to!
And because Amy and I are 12 sometimes, we had fun with the wind once the 20km were O-V-E-R.
We are gems. The reality of running so far.
This afternoon I made my Carrot, Date & Walnut Loaf!
Man, its SO good. I did a few things differently though. I didn’t add any sucanat. Instead I added 1/2 cup apple sauce and about 15 drops of liquid stevia. I also let it bake for 50 minutes instead of 35.. NO idea how it baked in 35 last time. Bizarre.
Even Max likes it! SCORE
Just mowing a slice, no biggy.
Max really takes the best pictures. I don’t know why he doesn’t do it professionally.
I am sure you’ll agree.
Anywho, tomorrow morning Amy and I are off to run 22km around Elk Lake! So to fuel up on some carbs, Max made the most delicious pasta tonight. In this guy we have whole wheat pasta, prawns, spinach, tomato, mushrooms, and a bit of goat gouda on top. Divine.
Hope you’re all having a great weekend!

Wowza you girls are getting great miles in! 20km always feels long to me haha. Awesome job! That bread looks goooooood!!!
Oh man Britt, I take it back!! Amy and I finished 22km today and it felt like a million. Seriously thought I was going to pass out for the last 5km.. haha
Look at you go with those miles! I always google the XXk = miles to see what in the world you are talking about haha
That kissed egg looks truly funny! How cool is that? You run, woman! Go on!

Fab pictures from your surroundings! Your carrot bread looks amazing & so appetizing too! I must make it soon!
